Soup for soul
Your cooking.
Their stories.
Run a quaint Japanese ramen shop, craft every bowl your way, and shape your guests’ heartfelt stories with your cooking choices.
In a small kitchen, between lifelong memories and hearty aromas, you cook ramen dishes that warm up your guests and are served with guidance and a welcoming ear.
The choices you make during preparation influence your conversations. Will you use leek or carrots as an inlay? Cut them into slices or strips? Roast or steam them for a different flavor profile?
The many delicious ingredients and tactile cooking mechanics at your disposal will all make a difference when it comes to the emotional effect of your soups.
After the passing of his beloved wife, whose warmth always drew customers into their small ramen bar, Mr. Tanaka is left feeling lonely and begins to consider closing the shop. But then one day, a new shopping center opens nearby and brings a wave of new customers.
Bowl by bowl, Mr. Tanaka learns to open up to people and their everyday stories, funny, sad, and quirky, while subtly guiding the flow of each conversation through the way he prepares his ramen.
By reflecting on his guests’ perspectives and actions in light of his own memories of his wife, Mr. Tanaka is ultimately able to move beyond his grief.
Craft your signature omakase (Japanese for: “I'll leave it up to you”) ramen with skill and care.
Every bowl brings you a little closer to the people around you.
